Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer Published on September 27, 2016 In October 2016, two Service Experts centers will be turning heads with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both going to paint two of their company vans pink for the fight against breast cancer. For the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be donating 20% of all sales from their pink vans to their local Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help end breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be giving 5% of all sales from their pink vans plus $10 for every heating tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast. This is the second time Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted a couple of their vans pink to raise money for Susan G. Komen. In 2015, Fras-Air was able to raise over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, the general manager and one of his employees both lost their mothers to alternative forms of cancer and were motivated to help other families. “The National Cancer Institute said that 107,184 women in New Jersey had breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider explained. “While the number of cases is actually decreasing each year, that still represents a huge number of families who are grappling with this disease, and therefore we have an immediate need for research and support.” Service Experts of Raleigh’s General Manager, Chris Overton, reiterated Schneider’s sentiments. “As reported by the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the leading type of cancer in the state – for both females and males.” To find out more about Susan G.
